How do I type on the paper?
Tap anywhere on the paper canvas to bring up the keyboard and start typing. Your text appears centered on the page in a typewriter font.
How do I dismiss the keyboard?
Tap the keyboard icon that appears in the action bar at the bottom of the screen while the keyboard is open.
How do I change the text size?
Tap the sliders icon in the action bar to open the options panel, then drag the Size slider. You can also pinch directly on the paper to resize text on the fly.
How do I change the text alignment?
Tap the sliders icon in the action bar to open options, then choose Left, Center, or Right from the Justification picker.
Formats & Export
What's the difference between Square and 9:16?
Square (1080×1080) is optimized for Instagram feed posts. 9:16 (1080×1920) is sized for Stories, Reels, and TikTok. Switch between them using the picker at the top of the screen.
How do I save my image to Photos?
Tap the download icon (↓) in the action bar. The first time you do this, spkn will ask permission to add photos to your library. Once granted, the image saves immediately and you'll feel a haptic confirmation.
How do I share my image?
Tap the share icon (↑) in the action bar. This opens the iOS share sheet where you can send the image to Messages, Instagram, Mail, or any other app.
What resolution is the exported image?
Square exports are 1080×1080 pixels. Portrait exports are 1080×1920 pixels. Both are suitable for social media at full quality.
Troubleshooting
The save button isn't working.
spkn needs permission to add photos to your library. Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → spkn and make sure "Add Photos Only" is enabled.
My text disappeared when I switched formats.
spkn doesn't save your session — text is cleared when you change formats or close the app. Export your image before switching if you want to keep it.
